Scaling a team by 15 people in 3 weeks
We helped a fintech company quickly expand its office when their developer team suddenly grew. We used the modular layout to add 2 new rooms.
Fintech Solis faced the challenge of suddenly hiring 15 new developers. Our task at Oradawe was to adapt the office space at ul. Jaworska so the team could work together without having to split departments.
The challenge
Fintech Solis was renting space from us for 20 people, but in February 2024 they received sudden funding for product development. They needed space for 15 additional IT specialists in less than a month.
The existing office was almost fully occupied, and the current furniture arrangement didn't allow for adding new workstations without obstructing paths. The team started working in shifts, which was inefficient and tiring for the developers.
Our approach
During a meeting with the company's CTO, we determined that visual and logistical consistency of the new layout was key. Our Oradawe technical team analyzed the floor plans and proposed merging two adjacent office modules.
We opted for modular partition walls and infrastructure relocation rather than time-consuming renovations. We carried out the work in stages to avoid interrupting the continuity of the current Solis employees' work.
The solution
As part of the project, we installed 15 ergonomic desks with adjustable heights and an appropriate number of power sockets, which were lacking in the old part of the office. We utilized a vacant break room, converting it into a 'quiet room' zone, allowing us to regain space for new desks in the main open area.
The entire furniture assembly and structural cabling reconfiguration process took exactly 18 business days. Thanks to this, the team was able to move into the full space before the April project sprint.
Results
The project was a success, and the Fintech Solis team gained the required space within the assumed budget and time, which allowed them to avoid downtime in software development.
